Hall of Heroes

Johnny Weaver was inducted into the Hall of Heroes Class of 2008 during the huge NWA Legends Fanfest weekend in Charlotte, NC. The induction banquet and awards ceremony took place Friday, August 15, 2008. Johnny's daughter Wendi accepted induction for her father, who passed away February 15, 2008. Johnny's good friend and long time opponent Rip Hawk (a member of the Hall of Heroes Class of 2007) inducted Johnny into the Hall, which is now in its second year recognizing the lifetime contributions of the great names in Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance.
